Our Founder Rai Bahadur Late Bissessurlalji Halwasiya was a strong believer that to uplift the masses through education. Quality Education must be accessible to all despite their location and station in life. Keep in line of those belief Rai Bahadur Bissessurlal Motilal Halwasiya Trust, under the guidance of Late Babu Shyam Sundarji Halwasiya, took the initiative in 1930 to build a school in the village of golgram which was part of the zamindari of our founder Rai Bahadur Late Bissessurlalji Halwasiya
Although the beginning were humble and small through the joint efforts of Rai Bahadur Bissessurlal Motilal Halwasiya Trust under the leadership of Late Babu Shyam Sundar Halwasiya followed by Late Babu Purushottam dasji Halwasiya and now Sri Bijay Shankar Halwasiya, along with the state and central government aid the school has grown to be one of the most infrastructurally infused education institute in the district. Although the roads were long but we have finally made a mark on history
Shri Bijay Shankar Halwasiya who is the president of the board at the High School Golgram leads the school for a better tomorrow. With the his help, his guidance and under his leadership the school is bound to make a transformative leap into the future of education. It only because of his vision that Rai Bahadur Bissessurlal Motilal Halwasiya Trust is ready to built a first of its kind school in Kolkata. The Trust, over the year has helped a lot of the school students.Trust upgraded the infrastructure of the school. With intention of faciliting students. The Trust provided scholarships and grants to motivate them and easing financial burden on parents. Many of them coming from poor background. We also distributed book, copies and other utility items
In 2006 the Trust helped build an auditorium in the school premises so that the any school function could be held in the school premises it self. Since the completion of the auditorium, not only school functions, but other celebration from the community of Golgram has also hosted at the auditorium site. the events held at the auditorium also includes Community Durga Puja.
