In a time were students from areas near around Kolkata and west Bengal, who wished to pursue Chartered Accountant course in Kolkata found it near impossible to find affordable accommodation in Kolkata. An Initiative by the Halwasiya Family was taken up to help those students and Halwasiya Chhatra Niwas was founded in the year 1944. With a long and generous history of 78 years of achievement our Halwasiya Chhatra Niwas continues to move forward with confidence pride and enthusiasm. Halwasiya Chhatra Niwas was created with the objective of providing an environment which will help students to excel in academics but also motivate them towards character building.
At Halwasiya Chhatra Niwas we have a high standard and expectations from each student in regard to academic performance. It is with pride that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to commit to maintain the extraordinary record of achievement and contribution that has been the legacy of Halwasiya Chhatra Niwas.
