When the Shradh Ghat, at the banks of the Holy river Ganga, was ready to be dedicated for community use a great dilemma arose who in these times will inaugurate the newly built Ghat. Why such a question arose there was an interesting reason behind it. in earlier times hindu samaritans use to built all the religious places dedicated to “नर और नारायण” to Human beings and Gods. Even during the Occupation of Mughals in India and despite of it being a time were Mughal emperor were at the pinnacle of their Supremacy, all Hindu Temples and other religious place used to be inaugurated by Hindu priest or other dignified Hindu patrons, and not by some Mughal kings or their representative. But the long shackle of servitude had broken the backbones of Indian Hindu Community and these were the time were we being punished for being subjugated so much so that the construction of any charitable project and even religious places were not considered a success until it was inaugurated by some other than hindu religion rulers. It was in these times that Rai Bahadur Late Bissessurlal ji Halwasiya who took a stand and decided that this Shradh Ghat should be inaugurated by an eminent Hindu religious personality and finally the inauguration of Rai Bahadur Bissessurlal Hurgovind Shradh Ghat was done by the then Shankracharya of Kashi Sri Anantacharya ji
